Better Line Hardware

I’ve known this store for almost 25 years. Better Line Hardware is a true neighborhood gem that’s hard to find these days. They’ve been part of the community for many years and always treat customers with respect and honesty. After a fire near their old 45th Street location, they moved to their current spot in Sunnyside. The store may be small, but it’s fully stocked with tools, locks, screws, key cutting, and all kinds of hardware supplies — like a mini Home Depot, but faster and more convenient. Whenever I need something small or urgent, this is my go-to place.

Better Line Hardware, Inc (Sunnyside) This hardware store is one of those neighborhood gems that are getting harder to find. They’ve been part of the community for many years, and you can feel it as soon as you walk in — they treat you with respect, they’re helpful, and there’s a sense of trust you only get from a business that has truly been in the neighborhood for a long time. They used to be located on 45th Street, a little before Queens Boulevard, near where a RadioShack used to be (an electronics store, kind of like a Best Buy). After that fire that affected several businesses in the area, they had to move, and now they’re in their new location. The store is small but extremely well stocked — there is literally no empty space. It’s packed with tools, screws, locks, emergency repair items, and all kinds of hardware supplies. It’s like a small Home Depot, but more convenient, because you can quickly find what you need without wasting time. There are other similar stores nearby, but the difference is very clear: at Better Line Hardware, the products feel more reliable and better quality. Personally, I go here whenever I need something small and urgent: quick home supplies, key co

So impressed with the professionalism and expertise of the staff. I had to get keys made and 3 other places couldn't do it but Better Line made copies with no issue and all keys worked beautifully. I also did a walk around store and so impressed with all the great products they carry will definitely be going back soon.

Superb hardware store. They have helped me out of a jam many a time, and done it with positivity and patience. Better Line has fair prices and quite an extensive stock given the store's small size. Highly recommend.

Everything the neighborhood hardware store should be. A small place, but if you need it they probably have it, and at a fair price. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, with advice you’ll never get from the big-box store. Patronize a place that improves the neighborhood, not a chain that sucks money out of it.
